FAQ
Where does the Conference take place?
The PCRC2021 will held virtually. Sessions will be hosted online and will be accessible through a virtual PCRC2021 conference platform.
What will virtual conference be like?
8th Peace and Conflict Resolution Conference [PCRC2021] will be hosted on a professional virtual conference platform (www.whova.com), that allows an innovative, dynamic and interactive learning and networking experience. All sessions (both live streamed and pre recorded) will be stored on a platform for an extended period of time and available to register participants for at least 3 months following the conference in order to ensure fair and equal opportunities to each member of our global community to access sessions, actively participate in the program discussions and network with fellow participants.
Will it be possible to attend the conference in-person?
Current situation with on-going pandemic, including increased health risk, limitations in international travel and physical gatherings does not allow for in-person sessions to be organized. However, we are closely monitoring the situation and should conditions allow for in-person attendance, PCRC2021 will be switched to a hybrid format and registered delegates will be offered a possibility to attend in-person. Should this be the case, all sessions will also be available on the virtual conference platform as well, where they will be recorded and stored for an extended period of time, in order to offer fair and equal opportunity to each member of our global community to access sessions, participate in discussions and engage in networking with fellow participants.
What language is the conference held in?
The official language of the conference is English and all sessions will be held in English language. Note, we will host individuals from all over the world and you are not expected to be a native speaker, but should be able to communicate with others.
Who is eligible for attending the conference?
The conference is open to anyone interested in the topics covered, regardless of age, gender, national, cultural, religious, professional and educational backgrounds. However, space in the conference is limited and delegates are carefully selected in order to ensure culturally and professionally diverse environment, which is, we believe, where true learning happens. We host: scholars, professionals, policy makers, students and other individuals that can benefit from and contribute to the overall experience.
Do I have to present a paper?
No. You may join the conference as an observer as well, of course in case your application is accepted and you complete the registration arrangements, which is required in order to secure your spot. The main value of the PCRC experience is - the people and we encourage networking in the friendly and safe PCRC environment. We are very proud of countless life time friendships and numerous collaborations born in the past PCRCs.

To achieve this, each individual application is reviewed and delegates are carefully selected in order to ensure these goals are met and that our participants will not only have an opportunity to present papers or listen to presentations, but to establish valuable connections and collaborations with colleagues from across the globe as well.
It makes us very proud to learn about long lasting friendships as well as numerous ideas that have been developed, initiatives and partnerships established as a result of knowledge, inspiration and contacts gained in our past events.
Do you offer financial assistance to attend the Conference?
No, the conference is entirely non for profit and admission fees are projected solely based on the organizing cost of the event, hence there is no surplus that could potentially be used for this purpose. Instead, we encourage participants to search for funding from outside organizations and we provide accepted applicants with the letter of support to enhance their fundraising efforts. A number of our participants receive some sort of funding from their home universities as well as from the local NGO, corporate and governmental sectors in their communities.
